Safety netting

Hi all,
Purchased 12 meters of safety netting to keep "skipper" safe on board only just had enough. £2 per meter white nylon. Photo's in our gallery.

Hello Gary and Ruth,
I am glad that you said 12 meters was enough because that is the amount we ordered a couple of days ago to keep our three year old boy and 6 month old baby girl on board.
We are interested to know how you attached the netting to the boat ?

Hi Martin and Stephanie,
While we were putting the netting up we renewed the guard rails, I found an old s/s back stay and an old shroud (thought they would come in handy some day!) we threaded the guard rail loop by loop through the top of the netting and through the stanchions, and we purchased 8 meters of 8mm bungee for the bottom of the netting, utilisiing the aluminium toe rail affixing bungee and netting on the inside with those plastic electrical tie thingy wotsits. There wasn,t enough to go around the pushpit but we we have some springy cargo netting that came with the car to complete.
Prior to renewing the guardrail we use to use washing line the type that has a metal core, it lasted for 10 years or more and still had life in it when we replaced it.
